June marks the beginning of winter so life in the vegetable garden does tend to slow down but there are still things you can be doing.
Plant garlic (buy garlic bulbs from a garden centre as the supermarket varieties have been treated to stop them sprouting).
In sheltered areas you can still sow brocolli, broad beans, carrots, cabbage, cauliflower, cress, lettuce and peas.
Covering un-used beds with straw/grass clippings/newspaper etc can help keep weeds at bay and give the worms something to chew on until you need the area in the spring.
